Kindness passed from Bush 41 to Me in Happenstance
In 1992, I shook the hand of President Herbert Walker Bush when he landed at the airport in Springfield, Missouri, on a campaign stop.
A complete stranger in the crowd of people also waiting to see the President, pulled my hand forward through the crowd, and placed my hand in the hand of President George Walker Bush.
I have no idea who this stranger was, but he gave his opportunity to shake the President’s hand to me.
I never got to say “Thank-You!” to that stranger.
In that way, a stranger passed the kind ways of President Bush to me, in happenstance.
